[Ficlet] Just Sit and Watch!

Summary: Sho and Nino were going to the cinema. Sho was trying to persuade Nino to do something usually done by the couples inside the dark theater room. Would he succeed?

It was Sunday. Nino asked Sho out for a date. They went to the cinema to watch the newest movie of Godzilla, which Nino had been waiting for.
Somehow, Nino managed to get the best seat for both of them. Sho complimented Nino in his mind as they sat comfortably on the middle row, right in front of the large screen.
The lighting dimmed, and the theater room slowly swallowed by the darkness. The blank large screen in front of them started to display the opening scene of the movie.
It was an exciting action movie. Both of them were absorbed into it so much. Until then, thirty minutes later, Sho started to move restlessly on his seat. His attention had been stolen by the scenery around them: the couples who sat around them had started to make their moves.
The one on the far left started to hug each other. The girl on the front row leaned her head on her boyfriend's shoulder. And the couple near them even had started to kiss passionately.
Sho took a short-uneasy glance around the dark room. Then his eyes reached Nino, whose attention still full-glued to the screen.
He gulped.
Somehow, the scenery around them had given him a pressure to do the same. He hesitated. His eyes shifted from Nino's serious face to the kissing couple beside the younger, then to Nino again.
Should he really do the same thing with Nino...?
Finally, he made up his mind. He started to make a move.
Sho lifted his right hand, reaching for Nino's left hand on the armrest. He found Nino's palm, and linked his fingers to the younger's. He held his breath, waiting for Nino to respond.
Nothing.
The younger was still stuck inside the wonders of the movie world, having an adventure with Godzilla.
Sho hadn't given up yet. He tried the second move, copying the girl from the front row. He shifted on his seat, leaning his head on Nino's shoulder.
He waited.
Still no reaction.
Looks like I need to do something more to get his attention... Like a kiss, maybe...? He thought. So he lifted his head from Nino's shoulder, and sat bolt-upright.
He stared at his lover for a while, before then started to shift his head closer to Nino's. His nose reached Nino's cheek, but there was no sign that the younger even realized Sho was already that close to him.
Desperate, Sho reached Nino's right cheek, and turned the younger's head towards him. Nino seemed surprised, but Sho didn't care. He leaned forward, closing his eyes. And when their lips were about to touch, suddenly he felt cold fingers pushing his face away.
Sho opened his eyes in a start to find Nino's straight face stared at him with narrowed eyes.
"W-what..."
He was just about to complain, when Nino hissed in annoyance, "Don't disturb me. I'm trying to watch the movie."
Sho stuttered, "B-but..."
Nino glared at him. "Just sit and watch, won't you?" he whispered from his gritted teeth, before staring back at the screen.
Sho froze for a second. Then he gave up. He didn't dare to pick Nino's anger for the second time. So he leaned back on his seat, and did what Nino had told him: to sit and watch the movie in silence.
When they were already outside the theater room, Sho voiced his protest.
"Why didn't you let me kiss you?" he pouted.
Nino snorted, "Please, Sho-chan. Where do you think are we? In a cinema! It's a place where people go to watch movies. Not for kissing and else."
"But everyone do it with their dates," he insisted, "And you're usually not the type who will reject me like that."
"Oh, come on Sho-chan. We come here to watch movie, and it's not for free. We pay for the tickets," Nino said, pissed, "That's why we should enjoy the movie to the fullest. Or else, we will lose. We can do the kissing stuff and else at home later, if you really want it. But not when we watch the movie. It's a kind of wasting money for me."
"What?" Sho was so surprised by Nino's answer, that he couldn't say any other words to continue his protest. His jaw dropped, leaving his mouth wide opened, his eyes blinked fast.
Stingy, stingy Nino.
Sho forgot that he was dating Mr. Stingy.

A/N: wahahahaha xD another random story! xD uhm, I got the idea for this story when I talked about this certain "habit" of the couple inside the theater room at the cinema with my friends.
"It's a kind of wasting money"
is actually my personal opinion about the habit. But then it reminds me about stingy Nino, so... Yeah... Then this story was born... xDDD
